My name is Peter Torok and I would like to welcome you to my comprehensive Lucid Dreaming course. I have taught this skill one to one, online and on retreats.  I am dedicating most of my time to research lucid dreaming, psychology and consciousness. Techniques

Lucid dreaming occurs while we are in Rapid Eye Movement or REM sleep. Different techniques exist, which result in different awareness levels. For example, we can train ourselves to recognise that we are dreaming in the middle of our next dream. This is called Dream Induced Lucid Dream (DILD).

With a more advanced technique, we can go into a meditative state and transition into a conscious dream from wakefulness directly. This happens without falling asleep, therefore we retain our full wakeful awareness! You may imagine this like going from one reality to another. This is called a Wake Induced Lucid Dream (WILD).

My Story and mission    

My inspiration to research consciousness stems from my adolescence. At the time, I thought that it wasn`t natural to sit behind a desk all day in school. I craved for discovering the world. I also had a strong feeling that the socialisation process I was exposed to was fundamentally flawed, because learning should have happened in an exciting way.

When I began teaching academic subjects, I encountered similar issues in my students: lack of motivation and goal. I believe that we should teach about how we can choose the most fulfilling profession and about how to turn our talents into a living. We should teach entrepreneurship skills, interpersonal skills and psychology because according to the latest studies, happiness and self-worth are not dependant on external things but on our own attitudes.   

 

My work – lucid dreaming and mindfulness practice

I am lucky, I do what I love: writing, teaching, research, meditation and lucid dreaming. This has been made possible because of what I have learned about the mind from science and spirituality, both in the West and in India. By learning about the mind, we gain a powerful ability to choose the path that will take us where we truly want to be. A path that has heart.

Studying mindfulness and the scientifically proven techniques lifts us above the various kinds of automatic, subconscious mechanisms, which prevent us from recognising our opportunities and moving forward in our life. The achievement of this, mostly depends on a state of mind, not on wealth, status or not even on intelligence.

Regular practice helps us to make steps towards a mind-set, which is absent from limiting subconscious patters and binding external expectations. With mindfulness practice, meditation and lucid dreaming, we remember that we are the sculptor creating our lives as our masterpiece.
